Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor Esq, a human rights lawyer and lead counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB has expressed gratitude to God for all He had done to him from 51 years ago, including all the guidance and protections from the hands of enemies, particularly the state and non state actors who have been after his life since he started defending the incarcerated Biafran agitators.
In his 51st birthday message titled: “Birthday Reflection: A Testimony of Grace, Purpose and Service”, Ejiofor who recalled how he escaped assassin’s bullets by whiskers on two occasions in the course of accepting the brief of IPoB and in most cases on probono basis, said: “On the occasion of my birthday, I publicly return all glory, honour, and adoration to God Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, and the Author and Finisher of my life. This new year is neither a product of human strength nor personal exertion; it is a clear testament to divine grace, mercy, and preservation,”..
Accorcing to Ejiofor, “I stand today as living evidence of the Lord’s immeasurable mercy. Preserved when human strength failed, sustained through seasons of trials, and upheld by divine favour beyond human explanation, I boldly affirm that the Lord has been my Keeper. Indeed, it is of the Lord’s mercies that I am not consumed”.
“Over the years, God has consistently opened doors that no man can shut—never for vanity, personal aggrandizement, or pride, but strictly for service, responsibility, and positive impact on humanity. Every opportunity entrusted to me remains a call to duty, accountability, and selfless service to society”.
“As I mark another year, my prayer is for renewed strength like the eagle, deeper humility to walk wisely, clearer discernment of purpose, and enduring compassion to continue my humanitarian mandate. I remain resolute in the belief that grace is sufficient, mercy triumphs over judgment, and destiny is preserved by God alone”.
“Today is not merely a celebration of age, but a sober reflection on life, purpose, and service. I recommit myself to integrity, courage, and the pursuit of justice, fairness, and human dignity, trusting God to order my steps and sustain me in the years ahead. To God alone be all the glory—today and always”.
