Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of Air Commodore Tijjani Baba Gamawa (Rtd) as Special Adviser on Societal Reorientation and Enforcement.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, Governor Mohammed said the appointment was in recognition of Gamawa’s dedication, professionalism, and record of responsible service.
According to the statement, the new Special Adviser is expected to support the administration’s efforts to strengthen societal values, promote discipline, and enhance public conduct across the state.
The governor expressed confidence that Gamawa’s wealth of experience will contribute significantly to advancing his administration’s vision for a more progressive and orderly Bauchi State.
Before his appointment, Gamawa served as the pioneer Commander-General of the Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency (BAROTA), where he was credited with laying the foundation for the agency’s operational structure.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
