Tinubu to Crown Bala Mohammed’s Achievements with Governance Award

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, is set to receive a national honour in recognition of his administration’s performance in governance and regional development.
The Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS) has nominated Governor Mohammed for a Distinguished Award for Good Governance and Regional Growth. The accolade, organised by The Best Strategic Media (TBS) in partnership with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, celebrates exceptional leaders whose work has positively influenced national advancement.
This was contained in a press release by the Senior Special Advisor Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukthar Gidado said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is expected to present the award on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.
According to the nomination details, the recognition highlights Governor Mohammed’s people-focused leadership model, which has delivered notable achievements in infrastructure, social welfare, public service reforms and overall governance efficiency in Bauchi State.
The administration’s drive for inclusive growth and its commitment to transparency and innovation have continued to attract accolades within and outside the country.
At an extraordinary State Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday at the Government House, Bauchi, cabinet members commended the Governor for the honour, describing it as a testament to the collective efforts of the government and the people of the state.
According to the statement, “They said the recognition reflects the positive direction of the administration and reinforces its determination to sustain reforms that directly impact citizens’ lives.
The Bauchi State Government expressed appreciation to the organisers for acknowledging the state’s development strides and pledged to remain steadfast in delivering more impactful initiatives across sectors.
Gidado said the award ceremony is expected to attract national dignitaries, top government officials and development partners.
