Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra state this Tuesday received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
Soludo who won the the November 8th gubernatorial election also announced they he is going to set up a Committee of Friends to look into what he described as Mr Peter Obi’s frustration accusing him of self adulation and refusing to see anything good in the success of other successive governors in the state .
Soludo also described his victory as very significant and remarkable in view of the unpresidented turn out and the number of votes won by him compared to the past results of gubernatorial elections in Anambra.
He boasted that his is the recipient of the first Certificate of Return to be presented by the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
“The new Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission INEC is handing over the first Certificate of Return since inception as Chairman”
“This is indeed history being made as I receive the first Certificate of Return from the National Chairman”.
“What is significant in the history of Anambra state is that the turn out was remarkable”
“This is the election that the votes were counted and the total number of votes exceeded the total number of vote ”
Soludo in response to the viral video of the former governor Mr Peter Obi who claimed to be higher and above him politically dismissed him noting that the percentage of votes Obi won in his second term in office is to insignificant compared to the vote he and his immediate successor scored adding that Obi even describe the election that gave him a second term in office as a sham noting that the process he dismissed he later benefited from the irregularities in that election.
“There was an election that the winner of that election Mr Peter Obi refused to vote complaining about irregularities”
“The first time was in 2010 when Mr Peter Obi was reelected government of Anambra state and the significance of that is that the election was considered even by the person that was declared the winner as a sham on life television but later he was declared winner with 97,000 votes and there was a challenge that he did not make 25 percent of the spread at the local government areas”
“Then 2017 , Chief Willie Obiano was reelected governor of Anambra state then with 246,000 votes and won a landslide with 56 percent of the votes ”
“Then in a historic contest that showed why this election is significant is that this time 2025, another reelection and this time ; I don’t know what to say but I need to say it that it was an unpresidented turn out that people came out to vote and waited for the votes to be counted”
“That was a turn out of almost 600,000 voters came out to vote and this is for the first time we are making history and 422,664 votes was scored by the winner of that election that is Soludo and that is 73 percent of the total votes cast and they is A grade ! ”
“That also translates to winning 98 percent of all the wards , 99 percent of the polling units and there several local government areas where we didn’t loose a single vote”
“We coached him to play in League 1 and he claim to play Championd we are playing in the World Cup and he came with wounded players and that is frustration on his part ”
“Idleness and serial frustration can do a lot and we shall set up a committee of friends to talk to him and may be taken him to the fun city to calm down ”
“The 3rd class governance by donation is a lie but he is our brother and we shall forgive him ”
“He continued to de-market my predessasor Willie Obiano until he left office but he cannot try me and he knows and he is my mate and how can one continue to lie and lie about everything? ” he asked.
