•As Fintiri Civic Reception Holds
Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has joined top dignitaries at the Margi Cultural Unity Celebration in Yola, as the unveiling of the Margi National Attire and a Grand Civic Reception held in honour of his Adamawa counterpart, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The session celebrates an important milestone for the Margi people and provides an opportunity to celebrate their identity, strengthen unity, and showcase the richness of their culture to the world.
Speaking, Governor Mohammed described Governor Fintiri as “an enigma,” adding that he has grown from being a political leader of the Margi people to becoming one of Nigeria’s most celebrated and respected politicians.
According to Mohammed, Fintiri’s numerous developmental projects, some of which have been adopted in Bauchi State, will always be celebrated, even as he commended him for his ability to unite people, uphold cultural values, and advance community development and inclusive governance.
On his part, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri noted that the session strengthens the bond of Margi nationhood and called on everyone to rededicate themselves to unity and cultural preservation, while thanking the dignitaries for their support and presence.
