It was a scene of excitement and cultural pride in Ifite-Ogwari community, Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State, as the former Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, celebrated the re-election victory of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo in a distinctly traditional way, with a keg of palm wine and kola nuts.

The early morning gathering, which took place at his country home, featured Rt. Hon. Okafor sharing palm wine and kola nuts with his kinsmen in what he described as a “morning communion of thanksgiving” to mark Soludo’s landslide victory in the November 8 governorship election.

The visibly elated former Speaker, who has been one of the most vocal advocates for Soludo’s re-election, took to his social media handle to share photos from the event, showing him seated in a relaxed mood with his kinsmen, enjoying the fresh breeze and natural ambiance of the countryside as they toasted to continuity and good governance in Anambra.

Okafor described the moment as a celebration “done nature to nature,” with a serene and joyful atmosphere symbolizing peace, gratitude, and brotherhood among the people. He also expressed optimism that Soludo’s renewed mandate would usher in greater transformation and progress across the state, especially in rural communities like Ayamelum.

Unarguably, the former Speaker’s celebration bears witness to his grassroots connection and his unflinching loyalty to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the Soludo administration, having consistently championed the Governor’s developmental strides and leadership vision throughout his first term.
