Two weeks after Governor Peter Mbah dumped the People’s Democratic Party PDP to join the All Progressives Congress APC, the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA has concluded plans to take over the state following the show of disappointment by countless citizens of the state over the decamp.

To this end, the party has announced that after the reelection of Anambra state Governor Prof Charles Soludo next month, it would activate the process of capturing Enugu state urging Soludo to make it a point of duty to lead the way.

According to the National Vice Chairman South East of the party Rev Austin Ehimere while announcing the endorsement of Soludo for a second term in office, he noted that the only way to stem the political marginalization of the Igbo race is for the five states to belong to APGA.

He observed that the decamp of Governor Peter Mbah to the APC did not go down well with the people of Enugu state hence the move to take over the lonely structures in the area and move them to APGA.

“Our National Chairman is aware of this and we know that he is on it and in no distant time it would come to pass”

“As the members of the South East executive of this party, we are at the same time appealing to our Governor that after his reelection on the 8th of November, he should please write his name in gold by ensuring that APGA that gave him the opportunity to govern Anambra for eight years it should also grow in other states like Anambra and I have always said it that for the Igbo man to escape from being a political orphan in Nigeria, for the South East people to stop going with cap in hand seeking political negotiation it is only when APGA is controlling the South East and that is when the North and West and South South will come to South East for political negotiations”

“And that would put us at a political advantage in Nigeria and I’m sure that Governor Charles Soludo has seen the need for that and I am sure that our National Chairman had that in his agenda”

“So hopefully APGA is going to move forward in the South East and we have commenced moves in that regard” he said.

Announcing the endorsement of Soludo Ehimere explained that ;

“Soludo is a renown professor, an economist and outstanding financial controller with yet an unbeatable record while as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria”

“This has produced multiplayer effects on governance in Anambra state and that is why we endorse him for a second term in office ”

He boasted that Anambra people are lucky interns of infrastructural development on the account of smooth transitions from one flag bearer of the party to another.

“Anambra should count themselves lucky to have APGA at the helm of affairs because any state that has smooth transition from the same party to the same party in terms of governance will continue to progress”

“That is exactly what is happening in Anambra and you can see ; Peter Obi was Governor here in Anambra and he is a great businessman, Chief Willie Obiano a banker who who understands the value of money and now Soludo and those are great people and if you check their records in governance you will see that there is consistency in building infrastructure and human capacity development” he said.

Also speaking the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APGA South East Chief Ojukwu Obakasi noted that Anambra people have no other options but to reelect the governor expressing the appreciation of the party in taking such stands .
