Movement for Actualization of A Sourverign State Of Biafra MASSOB has announced that it would be part of the coming nation wide protest for the release of the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The body also accused the regime of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu of applying segregation in the release of 175 persons from prison custody by granting freedom to drug barons but refused to grant Mazi Nnamdi Kanu freedom.

According to the National Director of Information Comerade Edeson Samuel in a statement, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu should seize the opportunity of the Monday protest to release Nnamdi Kanu.

“MASSOB calls on the Federal government of Nigeria under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to cover the stinking shame of Nigeria before the international communities and release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention”

“We advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to smartly use the Abuja city wide non violence protest as a soft landing for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from DSS cage.
Mr President should harken to the numerous voices from home and diasporas calling for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”

“MASSOB wondered why the federal government of Nigeria will openly engage with dreaded groups like Northern based Islamist Terrorist, Bandits and Boko Hara”

“The Federal Government of Nigeria appears to demonstrate that there are two sets of laws in Nigeria – one for the people of the South-East and another for the rest of Nigeria”

“MASSOB will continue in our non violence agitation for Biafra actualization”

“Other geopolitical regions in Nigeria have six states, with some having seven; the South-East is the only region with five states, this is an indication of economic and political suppression and marginalization”

“The Federal Government of Nigeria is treating the South-East region with systematic subjections and pathological hatred with stinking impunity”

“If Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is from the northern or western region of Nigeria, would he have been detained by the DSS for all these years?”

“The administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has granted clemency to drug barons, murderers, and kidnappers, yet Nnamdi Kanu remains in DSS custody even though he is not a criminal”

MASSOB reiterate our earlier decision to participate in the nationwide peaceful protest for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. There is no going back for our solidarity for our brother and Comrade.

“MASSOB categorically states that the clamour for Biafra as an independent and sovereign entity will continue to wax stronger with burning desire.
We appreciate those who have joined MASSOB in calling for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s unconditional and immediate release” he said.
