Speaking during the flag-off ceremony today, Mohammed said the project demonstrates his administration’s commitment to improving the wellbeing of the people through modern healthcare delivery, emphasizing that access to quality health services remains his administration’s top priority.
He further explained that the project is not limited to extensive renovation and expansion works, but construction of new buildings, modern operating theatres, and specialized care units for patients with critical medical needs.
While noting that the initiative was designed to transform the hospital into a state-of-art facility capable of handling complex cases, Mohammed further stated that the upgrade would, however, include the installation of advanced medical equipment, digital record systems, and staff training to ensure efficient service delivery.
He reassured that his administration not hesitate to further invest in the health sector to meet the growing demands of its citizens, the project, he added, would enhance the hospital’s capacity to cater for more patients from Bauchi and neighboring states.
When completed, the Bauchi Specialist Hospital, according to Governor Mohammed, will become one of the leading referral health institutions in the North-East region, contributing significantly to the overall development of the healthcare sector and reinforcing the administration’s vision of a healthy and prosperous Bauchi State.
