In a remarkable show of unity and strategic foresight, two aspirants for the position of National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the North East zone Comr. Daure David and Muhammad Lele Abdurrahman, the 1st Jagaban Galadiman Gamawa held a high-level consultative meeting aimed at fostering collaboration ahead of the party’s upcoming National Convention.
The meeting, convened by the Contact and Mobilization Committee on behalf of Comr. Daure David, focused on key themes of unity, strategic alignment, and mutual respect among aspirants vying for the same office. Despite being contenders for the same position, both leaders emphasized the importance of building bridges rather than walls, recognizing that the strength of the PDP lies in its ability to harmonize diverse ambitions under a shared vision.
Speaking after the meeting, Comr. Daure David expressed optimism about the future of the party’s youth leadership, stating: “This is not just about winning an election it’s about building a legacy of cooperation and inclusivity. We are committed to a process that reflects the values of the PDP and the aspirations of young Nigerians.”
Muhammad Lele Abdurrahman echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the need for strategic engagement and grassroots mobilization: “Our unity sends a powerful message. The youth of the North East are ready to lead with purpose, and we will do so together.”
The meeting also explored tactical approaches to delegate engagement, regional mobilization, and policy priorities that would shape the youth wing’s agenda post-convention. Both aspirants pledged to uphold the principles of internal democracy and to support whoever emerges as the party’s choice for National Youth Leader.
As the PDP gears up for its pivotal National Convention, this collaborative effort stands as a testament to the evolving maturity and strategic depth within the party’s youth ranks.
