Recovering from the attack by gunmen, the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in the November 8th election Chief Jude Ezenwafor and the Governors of his party across the country are set to commence campaigns in the state.
Also Ezenwafor would be announcing the members of his Campaign Council during the flag totaling over 350 persons .
Ezenwafor who emerged the candidate of the PDP unchallenged had gone to Abuja to package his campaign tours when some unknown gunmen layed ambush on his way and opened fire on him .
He was rushed to a medical facility in Abuja and has since been responding to treatments .
Speaking with this reporter in phone interview Ezenwafor said that he has been discharged from the medical facility adding that he has been in contact with the PDP Governors for the flag off of his campaign .
“We thank God for His mercies upon us all and I am ok now and good to go and I have been in contact with the Governors about my Campaign flag off and so far they are behind me ”
Ezenwafor countered claims that his party is no longer on the ground adding that most people who his fellow candidates claimed to have dumped the party would be at the campaign rally.
“No this is not true because most of those people they are claiming to have dumped the PDP are still with us and they are pulling all stops ahead of the flag off ”
“For the PDP Governor’s Forum, I am I contact with them and so far they are giving me great support ahead of the flag off ” he said.
