Gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Anambra state Chief George Moghalu has condemned what he called series of attacks by Gov Charles Soludo on the Presidential candidate of the party Mr Peter Obi.
Moghalu contended that Soludo erred in his attacks adding that campaigns should be issues based and not name calling and name dropping.
The Labor Party flag beater who was on a community campaign at Nawfija , Umunze and Agulu in Orumba South and Anaocha local government areas noted that the November 8th gubernatorial election in the state is crucial for the people of Anambra state adding that it would determine the fate of the state in the next four years.
The Labour Party Governorship candidate, Dr. George Moghalu, has declared that the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State will play a decisive role in the 2027 presidential race.
He noted that the party’s Presidential candidate needs to win his home state Anambra ahead of the 2027 general election adding that if the South East desires to produce the President of Nigeria it has to back Mr Peter Obi.
“if we truly desire an Igbo presidency, Anambra must make a bold statement. Our leader, His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, needs his own state to stand firm in 2027, and the whole country, especially Obi’s supporters, are watching Ndi Anambra.”
Continuing on the attacks on Peter Obi Moghalu noted that;
“Instead of showing his scorecard Soludo acts as if he was commissioned to bring down Obi, but whether he likes it or not, Obi has awakened the political consciousness of Igbo people and brought us back to the national political table.
Fortune can only be delayed but not denied; all powers belong to God and He gives it to whom He pleases,” Moghalu said.
He assured Anambra of purposeful leadership, vowing never to fail them, and declared that he will not pass through this generation unsung but will deliver projects and policies that posterity will always remember.
