Dr. Oparaoji, a distinguished Full-time Professor at Montgomery College and a Part-time Faculty member at Bowie State University, embodies the spirit of service and dedication. As the Coordinator of the Licensed Nursing Program at Montgomery College, she has already made substantial contributions to the education and empowerment of future healthcare professionals. Her leadership extends beyond academia; she is actively engaged in the nursing community as the President of the Maryland Nursing Association District 5, advocating for nurses in Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and the District of Columbia.
Her role as a Commissioner for Multicultural Affairs aligns seamlessly with the mission of the County Executive’s Office, which aims to support and assist the immigrant community. Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Oparaoji is a dedicated family woman, married to Prince Ndy Oparaoji (in picture) from the Oparaoji Royal Dynasty in Amuzi Ahiara Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria. Dr. Oparaoji’s extensive involvement in various organizations, including her roles as the Public Relation Officer for both the Association of Nigerian Nurse Practitioners and the Ahiara Union DMV, showcases her passion for networking, advocacy, and community service. Her leadership as the Chair of the Community Engagement Committee at the Montgomery College Nursing Department and her recent testimony as an expert nurse in the Maryland State House further highlight her commitment to meaningful engagement and legislative advocacy.
