It has become an all comers affair inside the theater of the absurd in the unfolding campaign for the gubernatorial elections of November 8, 2025 in Anambra State. This is as the political climate has heated to the levels not witnessed before in Anambra State electioneering campaign.
In a recent recorded telephone conversation between the running mate of the All Progressive Congress [APC] candidate – Senator Uche Ekwunife – and a male political friend and colleague, it revealed that Senator Ekwunife who was livid offer accusations laid on her person by the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance [APGA] candidate, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, stated that she was ready to fabricate lies against the daughters and wives of any male politicians that come after her politically.

In the recorded telephone conversation, she laid curses on all the daughters and wives of any politician who dare to attack her politically. She added that none of their daughters or wives will ever attain to the level of success she had attained in life.
During the call, Senator Ekwunife claimed that Governor Soludo’s wife, Nonye, is a “man-woman” (hermaphrodite), whatever that implies, and that the Governor’s wife previously worked for the late Governor Chinweoke Mbadinuju. She also warned that she would reveal more information about those who have spread lies about her.
This latest exposure comes as a result of Ekwunife’s accusation pointing to Governor Soludo’s wife as having had an affair with the then Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju. Ekwunife had also stated that personal hygiene of the Governor of Anambra was wanting.
The unpleasant exchange began when Governor Soludo questioned the academic backgrounds and/or qualifications APC gubernatorial candidate and his running mate.
