Bauchi State’s Ongoing Efforts to Improve Maternal and Child Health
The Bauchi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing free antenatal care and drugs to pregnant women and children under five years old across the state.

The state government has made drugs, delivery kits, and other essential commodities available for free medical services.
The Model Primary Healthcare Centre in Dagauda has been upgraded and expanded, increasing its bed capacity from 30 to 49.
The facility has been equipped with security personnel provided by the African Development Bank and the Local Government Area.
The facility’s in-charge, Tafida Hussaini, has called for additional staff to manage the increasing number of patients.
