The Special Adviser to Anambra State’s Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Community Security, Mr. Ken Emeakayi, has announced the handover of eight operatives of the Operation Udo Ga-Achị/Agụnechemba Security outfit to the police over the brutal assault and stripping of a female corps member serving in the state, Miss Jennifer Elobor.

Speaking while parading the suspects at the Agụnechemba Administrative Headquarters on Wednesday, Mr. Emeakayi said the handover was in further demonstration of the agency’s openness.

Captured in a 51-second video currently trending on social media, Emeakayi said speculations were already peddled, with insinuations that somebody is trying to sweep this under the carpet.

He, however, said “there is no scapegoat” in what the agency is doing, adding that Governor “Soludo is not interested.”

His words: “In further demonstration of our openness and our readiness to be fair to everybody, we are going to take them now, with or without the girls and members of our family, we are going to take them to the police and hand them over to the police.

“That is what we are about doing now and this is the essence of bringing them out so that everybody will see them. We are not shielding anybody because some people have been insulating, oh we are trying…, somebody is trying to sweep this under the carpet.

“In further demonstration, that is not what we are doing. There is no scapegoat in what we are doing and the governor of Anambra. Mr. Governor, Chukwuma Soludo is not interested. He has not sent us out to molest anybody.”
