PRESS RELEASE

As Nigeria faces perhaps its most challenging moment since independence—marked by insecurity, inflation, and disillusionment—we, the South East Patriots, call upon all well-meaning Nigerians to demand unity between Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi in the interest of national survival.

This is not just a political appeal—it is a patriotic imperative.

Both Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi are among the most investigated former public officials in Nigerian history. Yet, despite years of scrutiny from multiple State agencies, neither has a single EFCC charge nor corruption-related indictment against them. That is not just rare—it is exceptional.

Even more commendable, both men have independently built successful private business empires—outside of government patronage. They have shown that it is possible to serve in public office with integrity and still excel in the private sector. In a nation desperate for accountability, their records shine brightly.

Furthermore, since the end of the Nigerian Civil War, neither the North East nor the South East has produced a President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria—whether through democratic election or military intervention. This historic imbalance is a wound to our collective unity, and it can only be healed through deliberate action.

A strategic alliance between Atiku and Obi is the most powerful path forward. It promises:

National reconciliation through balanced regional representation.

Restoration of confidence in leadership through integrity-driven and inclusive leadership.

A smooth generational transition, laying the foundation for long-term reform.

A united front strong enough to defeat the forces of division and decay.

We therefore call on every Nigerian—young and old, from North to South—to insist that Atiku and Obi must work together. Let us pressure political stakeholders, community leaders, and civil society to make this unity a national demand.

This is not about personal ambition. It is about rescuing Nigeria.

Let ego give way to equity. Let legacy align with leadership. Let vision triumph over rivalry.

Let strategic thinking prevail over sentiments.

Nigeria deserves this moment. Nigeria deserves this unity.
