In a momentous cultural and political celebration, Hon. Mubarak Haruna Mairakumi, Member representing Jama’are Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, was formally turbaned as the First Dujuman Jama’are.
The prestigious title, conferred during a colorful ceremony attended by dignitaries, traditional rulers, and members of the community, recognizes Hon. Mairakumi’s unwavering dedication to public service, his humility, and his commitment to the development of Jama’are and Bauchi State at large.
The event was marked by traditional fanfare, with cultural troupes performing and supporters expressing joy and admiration for the newly installed Dujuman. The turbaning ceremony, deeply rooted in the customs of the Jama’are Emirate, symbolizes leadership, wisdom, and responsibility.
In a congratulatory message, Kaura Independent Communication described the honor as “well-deserved,” noting that it reflects Hon. Mairakumi’s tireless efforts in uplifting his constituency. “May this new title bring you greater wisdom, strength, and opportunities to continue serving Jama’are and Bauchi State at large,” the message read.
As the First Dujuman Jama’are, Hon. Mairakumi is expected to play a vital role in bridging traditional leadership with modern governance, fostering unity, and promoting development initiatives across the region.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for peace, progress, and long life for the honoree in his new role.
