The Geeks and Founders Alliance for Soludo (GEFAS) has lauded the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, for his visionary leadership and commitment to transforming the state into a livable and prosperous smart megacity through technology and innovation.
According to the group, within just six weeks of the unveiling of the GEFAS Mobile Tech Hub by the Deputy Governor, more than 18,000 people across campuses and rallies have already benefitted from free internet connectivity provided via the Solution WiFi initiative, with users consuming over seven terabytes of free data.
Demonstrating its continued commitment to the Soludo administration’s Solution Agenda, GEFAS further disclosed that it has deployed free Solution WiFi at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium, Onitsha, enabling attendees at ongoing events to connect seamlessly and share live updates in real time.
In a statement issued on Saturday, August 23, the Managing Director and CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA), reaffirmed the group’s pledge to keep supporting Governor Soludo’s vision of leveraging technology to drive sustainable development, enhance productivity, and reposition Anambra as a digital hub.
He emphasized that technology remains a powerful tool in building a prosperous future, and assured that GEFAS would continue to expand access to digital resources, champion innovation, and support initiatives that align with the state government’s mission of creating opportunities for the people.
