In a press release issued, Wunti expressed gratitude for the widespread calls urging him to enter the political arena. However, he emphasized that no formal decision has been made regarding his candidacy.

“I wish to state clearly that while I deeply appreciate the numerous calls for my involvement in politics, I am currently consulting with relevant stakeholders,” Wunti stated. “At the appropriate time, I will communicate my official position.”

He further cautioned the public against accepting any declarations not issued through his verified social media platforms, noting that no individual has been authorized to speak on his behalf.

The statement has sparked renewed interest in Wunti’s potential political ambitions, especially given his track record in public service and his influence within Bauchi State. Political analysts suggest that his entry into the race could significantly reshape the dynamics ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial elections.
