In a heartfelt demonstration of leadership and empathy, His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has extended substantial relief support to victims of the recent windstorm in Dass Local Government Area.
Loading ...The distribution exercise, which took place under the supervision of Hon. Mohammad Jibo, Chairman of Dass Local Government, was carried out in collaboration with the Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the local government council.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Jibo lauded Governor Bala Mohammed for his swift and generous intervention, describing it as a lifeline for the affected communities.
“We are grateful to His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed, for his timely intervention and support,” Hon. Jibo stated. “We urge the beneficiaries to use these materials wisely and efficiently, so that they can rebuild their lives and communities.”
However, some of the Relief Items Distributed includes:
– 500 bundles of roofing zinc
– 1,000 bags of cement
– Timber woods
– Bundles of nails
– ₦100 million cash donation
The relief package is aimed at helping residents recover from the devastating effects of the windstorm, which left many homes and properties damaged. The materials are expected to aid in reconstruction efforts and restore normalcy to the affected areas.
Beneficiaries of the relief materials expressed deep appreciation to the governor and the local government chairman, commending their commitment to the welfare of the people.
This intervention underscores the Bauchi State Government’s dedication to disaster response and community resilience, reinforcing its pledge to stand by citizens in times of need.
