The appointed persons are Adaobi Oniwinde as Ag Chief Corporate Communication Officer/Spokesperson and Ms Morenike Adewunmi as the Chief Relationship and stakeholders office.

This medium gathered that the appointment of these females follows the forceful resignation of the former Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Femi Soneye.

It is not clear why only ladies have been appointed to run such a sensitive department but sources within the tower revealed that it has been the style of the GCEO to use ladies as his right hand persons.

Recalled that weeks ago, the media was inundated with the resignation report of Mr. Femi Soneye as its Spokesperson.

However, information available to Universal Reporters indicates that Femi was forced to resign against his will, following the report in the media that the NNPCL Board embarked on a lavish Kigali retreat with chartered private jets amid a Senate probe of ‘missing $210 Trillion. He reigned a day to the wasteful Kigali’s retreat.

Universal Reporters learned that the report in the media rattled the NNPCL board, and as such, it became jittery to the extent that Femi’s inability to handle the scandal made him to be systematically kicked out in the name of resignation, even though he was earlier billed to go on the trip to Kigali.
