Ahead of the final conduct of the primary election of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA for Anambra South Senatorial District women leaders in Orumba South local government area have gone into what they called spiritual prayer session for the victory of Chief Ebuka Onunkwo at the primary election.
Recall that the number of the aspirants were narrowed from eight aspirants to three having Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, Mr Emma Nwachukwu and Chief Paschal Agbodike after Onunkwo have emerged victorious in the last mock primary election.
This prayer session is coming even as the Ebuka Onunkwo Campaign Organization has carpeted those it called faceless people who have been going about spreading false narrative against it’s Principal.
According to the Campaign Organization the prayer session is indeed symbolic as it goes to show that Onunkwo is the man of the people.
“The fact that the women chose to go spiritual with their support is a clear sign that he is the one they want to see emerge as candidate of APGA”
“The prayer session was a call to heaven to protect and uplift a man they believe is the best choice to represent Anambra South”
“It is quite obvious that the good people of Anambra South are anxiously expecting Chief Ebuka Onunkwo to emerge as APGA candidate, and they are rallying behind him, body, soul, and spirit”
“The message is clear: Chief Ebuka Onunkwo is the right man for the job. He is tested, trusted, and ready to serve with integrity and vision”
“Every APGA delegate should, please, harken to this voice: the voice of the people is speaking, and the voice of the people is the voice of God. Let us not allow this divine moment to pass us by”it stated .
Reacting to the trending stories of Onunkwo threatening Gov Charles Soludo the organization contended that;
“Be it made unequivocally clear that at no time has Dr Ebuka Onunkwo or his campaign team threatened the people’s Governor, Prof C C Soludo, whom we hold in the highest esteem as the leader of our great party, APGA”
“The continued attempt to misrepresent genuine support for Dr Onunkwo as a threat to the Solution Governor is a cheap diversion from the real issue – the fear of a fair contest”
“It is equally laughable that the same camp, which has long celebrated and paraded the mock primary election organised under the instruction of Mr. Governor as proof of their supposed ‘victory’ are now rejecting its credibility”
“If indeed they claim to have won the mock primary, why the sudden panic? Or could it be they never truly won and are now afraid to face a transparent and democratic process? ”
The organization challenged the faceless elements to come out this Monday to be part of the primary election if they are sure of their malicious reports .
“The primary election has been scheduled for Monday. Let all aspirants come forward and participate in a free, fair, and credible primary before the delegates. Let the will of the people prevail — not noise, no intimidation, no media propaganda”
“Any attempt to bully the will of the people or to smear his campaign with fake narratives will only strengthen our resolve to ensure democracy is upheld”
“We advise this faceless camp and their sponsors to desist from further peddling misinformation and instead prepare for the democratic process ahead. APGA belongs to all of us, and the people will decide, not hired writers or frightened political jobbers”it noted .
