In a solemn display of solidarity and compassion, the Bauchi State Government paid its last respects to the late mother of Hon. Abdurrazak Nuhu Zaki, the Honourable Commissioner for Water Resources, during a well-attended funeral prayer held at Kasuwan Shanu Juma’at Mosque of Jamaatul Izalatul Bidaa Wa Ikamatissunna.
Representing Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed at the ceremony was the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Auwal Muhammad Jatau. His presence underscored the deep ties and mutual respect among state officials, as well as the government’s commitment to standing with its citizens during moments of loss.
However, the Chief Imam Mahmood Duguri led the funeral rites, delivering heartfelt prayers and offering condolences to the bereaved family. An outpouring of support was evident as a large gathering of Muslim clerics, commissioners, special advisers, and distinguished dignitaries attended the prayer to honor the life of the deceased.The atmosphere was marked by reflection, unity, and shared mourning, as attendees offered prayers for divine mercy and strength for the family.
Rt. Hon. Jatau praised Hon. Zaki’s contributions to the state and expressed heartfelt sympathy on behalf of the government and people of Bauchi. He described the late matriarch as a respected figure whose legacy will live on through her children and the values she instilled.
This gesture of collective mourning not only reflects the respect held for Hon. Zaki, but also highlights the strong community bonds that define Bauchi State’s leadership and public service.
