The Throneroom (Trust) Ministry, Kafanchan, has debunked viral reports claiming its Founder and Vision Pioneer, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, is dead.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the cleric’s media aide, Richard Pius Garba, described the reports as “false, misleading, and reckless,” warning that the misinformation had caused panic among followers and well-wishers both in Nigeria and abroad.
“Our attention has been drawn to a false and misleading story making the rounds on Daily Post and Gistlover, alleging the demise of Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure. This publication is not only false but deeply irresponsible,” Garba said.
He clarified that the confusion arose following the announcement of the death of a Catholic priest, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Emmanuel K. Kure, by the Archdiocese of Kaduna, and not Apostle Kure of Throneroom Ministry.
“We wish to categorically state that Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure is alive, healthy, and actively carrying out his spiritual and humanitarian responsibilities,” he stated.
Garba further condemned the use of Apostle Kure’s photograph in the misleading report, describing it as “a violation of privacy and journalistic ethics.”
He called on the publishers of the erroneous story to immediately retract the publication, issue a public apology, and take down all related images and materials.
“We urge the general public, especially members of the Throneroom family, to remain calm and disregard these rumors in their entirety,” he added.
The statement also urged media organisations and content creators to uphold ethical standards by verifying facts before going to press.
Apostle Emmanuel Kure is a renowned Christian leader and advocate of national and spiritual transformation in Nigeria.
