The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has sent a solemn appeal to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi to return to their fold.

Rising from a high powered expanded State Working Committee meeting at it’s Udoka Housing Secretariat headquarter, Awka and read out a 5-point communique, urging Obi to return to team up in rebuilding PDP, his home base.

The Anambra State chairman of the party, Comrade Chidi Chidebe reviewed the state-of-party with a call to members to stay clear of anti-party temptation of any type.

He cautioned members against the so-called coalition with anyone/party.
He expressed confidence in the reconciliation of members.
The communique extended invitation to members who left for one reason or another.

They expressed their full backing and support for its PDP governorship candidate, Chief Jude Ezenwafor.

The party also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to imbibe fairness and allow level playground in the coming November 8,2025 governorship election in Anambra State.

They nominated Chief Clem Ezika(SAN) to take up the position of National Ex-Officio in the party’s national hierarchy.

Reiterating the party chapter’s rejection of any form of coalition whatsoever, they admitted readiness to remain unshaken unadulterated PDP members.

Members were also mandated against any coalition move, stressing that any member to attempt fraternizing with any strange party would be read as anti-party and would be deemed as desertion and be viewed seriously.

Chidebe expressed their concern for the unexpected decamping of the immediate former State chairman, Chief Ndibisi Nwobu. But has made far-reaching adjustments to tackle such gaps.
