Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has donated 6 bulls and over N15 million to journalists, unions, and media-related groups as an Eid Adha gift for Eid-Kabir Sallah celebration.
In a press release by the governor’s special adviser on media and publicity, Comrade Mukthar Gidado Tuesday, said the Governor’s initiative demonstrates his appreciation for the hard work and dedication of journalists in the state.
The Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity emphasizes that journalists play a critical role in the state’s development, serving as a bridge between the government and the people.
According to the Governor’s media said said the donation was distributed among various media groups, including the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Bauchi State Chapter, Correspondents Chapel Bauchi State, and others.
Representatives from the media groups expressed their gratitude for the Governor’s gesture, describing it as a welcome development during the festive period.
The Governor’s donation is seen as a symbol of his appreciation for the critical role journalists play in promoting the state’s development agenda, and is expected to boost the morale of journalists and enhance their working relationship with the government.
