Ahead of November 8 this year’s gubernatorial election in Anambra State, the Governorship Candidate for the African Action Congress, AAC, Lady Chioma Grace Ifemeludike has solicited a maximum support from the entire people of her Eziowelle community in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state, even as she also pledged to remain loyalty to them.
Speaking to a mammoth crowd who trouped out to receive her at Ezinimo Village Square, Eziowelle during a special visit to the area, which attracted the presence of numerous residence of Eziowelle Community as well as neighboring Communities Ifemeludike expressed gratitude to her Community for trooping out enmass to receive her, saying that she did not all that excepted to see such a crowd of people since she actually visited them to officially intimate them of her intention to contest Governorship seat come November 8 this year in Anambra State.
She therefore commended them imnensely for expressing their full to her during primary election in her party.
Ifemeludike who is also a Nollywood actress, asserted that she is the Chairperson of her Party but fortunately, due to her intergity, she was appointed to contest the position of Governorship by her Party.
She explained that her only strength and hope anchors on God Almighty, stressing that she has no money like others but reminded them that anybody who supports her equally support God just as she emphasized that whoever actually supports God has a reward.
” I don’t depend on Money because I know that what God deposited in me is far greater than Money. It is only when the time comes, you can judge by yourself. Anambra will hear my voice, Nigeria will hear my voice, African in general will as well hear my voice”, said Chioma.
” I didn’t come to promise to do this or do that for you people, but when I clinch leadership, you will understand the stuff I am made of and that leadership is all about service. What comes to Anambra State every month from the federation account amounts to billions of naira apart from Internally Generated Revenue, IGR. Conscience is all about leadership not grammar. So, i thank you once again and urge you to support me and vote for me”.
Similarly, Udoji Igboanugo Daniel, her running mate disclosed that it was devine favour that he was appointed to be a running mate to Chioma, saying that he never intended to become a Politician but how it happened so soon was a devine movement.
Igboanugo who hails from Anam in Anambra West council area, highlighted that there is no specific School of leadership, noting that leadership is all about good character, knowing what is supposed to do at any point in time, or, required of and being competent.
Responding, a community leader, Hon. Emeka Paul Olum commended Chioma for her initiative in presenting herself first to her Community, vowing that Eziowelle Community would do everything humanly possible to assist her to enter Agu-Awka Government house.
In their separate speeches, Chief Collins Onyeorulu and Mrs. Elizabeth Ihemuerika assured Chioma that Eziowelle Community is behind her aspiration adding that they would assist her to win the election, even as Onyebuchi Onuigbo from Ogbunike community pledged to mobilize six thousand voters for Chioma during the election to ensure she emerge victorious in the forthcoming Governorship election in the state.
