Delta State PDP Chieftains Assure Party Loyalists of a Strong Future
By: Daure David
In a recent media briefing, Comrade Nwaturu Gods will Nduka, a prominent leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, has assured Deltans that the party remains unified, resolute, and committed to the people, despite the recent defections of high-profile politicians to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This includes the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, and former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, both of whom have recently left the PDP for the APC.
Addressing concerns about the state of affairs in the PDP, Nduka, on behalf of the Delta State PDP chieftains, emphasized that the party continues to stand strong and resilient. He reassured the people of Delta State that despite these political shifts, the PDP remains a dominant force in the state and is poised for a comeback.
“We are confident that the PDP will continue to be a major force not just in Delta State but across the nation,” said Nduka. “Our party has weathered many storms before, and we will rise again even stronger. We urge our supporters to remain calm and steadfast as we navigate this challenging period.”
PDP’s Strong Future in Delta State
Nduka assured party loyalists that the future of the PDP in Delta State remains secure, despite the defections. He called on all Deltans who remain loyal to the party to stay committed, as efforts are being made to restore the party’s former strength and influence in the state.
“We want to reassure all loyalists of the PDP that the party’s future is bright,” he said. “We are in the process of revitalizing the PDP and ensuring that it returns to its rightful place of prominence in Delta State. The party has a rich history of development and progress, and we are determined to continue that legacy.”
Leadership Transition and Renewal
In his address, Nduka also expressed hope for a smooth leadership transition within the party, one that will rejuvenate its activities and chart a new path forward for the PDP. He emphasized that the incoming leadership would focus on revitalizing the party and steering it toward an even more influential and effective role in Delta State and the nation.
“The new leadership will bring fresh perspectives and energy,” Nduka continued. “We are ready to work with everyone to ensure that the PDP thrives once more, and we are committed to leading the party back to victory.”
Calming Fears Amid Defections
Acknowledging the recent political defections, Nduka sought to allay the fears of party supporters and the general public. He emphasized that defections were a normal part of political life and should not be viewed as an existential threat to the PDP. Nduka urged Deltans not to panic, reassuring them that the party’s unity and strength would carry it through these challenging times.
“We understand that many of our supporters are concerned, but we want to assure them that the PDP is united and resilient,” he stated. “Our faith in the party’s ability to overcome adversity is unwavering. The PDP has faced challenges in the past and emerged victorious. This time will be no different.”
A Unified Front for the People of Delta
As the political landscape in Delta State continues to shift, Nduka’s message was clear: the PDP remains a strong and united force, focused on serving the people of the state. He called for continued support and unity among party members and pledged that the PDP would continue to prioritize the welfare of Deltans.
“We will not let the actions of a few detract from the greater mission of our party,” Nduka said. “The PDP stands for the people, and together, we will continue to fight for the progress, security, and well-being of Delta State.”
However, Nduka’s message echoed the resilience of the PDP and the unwavering belief that the party will emerge from this challenging period stronger than ever. As Delta State’s political future unfolds, the PDP remains steadfast in its commitment to the people and the state’s continued development.
