As President Ahmed Bola Tinubu concludes arrangements to pay a working visit to Anambra state the Leaders of the Old Aguata Union OAU has endorsed the second term bid of Gov Charles Soludo ahead of the November 8th gubernatorial election this year.
Already contractors working at the New Government House Awka have commenced the handing over of the over thirty buildings at the site of the project which include the Governor’s Lodge , the Deputy Governor’s office , the amphic theater and the office complexes.
Similarly contractors at the Solution Fun City have also commenced the hand over of structures that have also been completed as part of the projects that President Tinubu would be inspecting.
Speaking shortly after the Old Aguata Union paid visits to those projects the leadership of the three local government areas and the CEO of JESCO Group of Companies Chief Joseph Ezeokafor described the projects as a boost to the infrastructural development of Awka and the state in general.
Ezeokafor further noted that in the past thirty four years funds were being appropriated for the New Government House Awka but nothing is being done at the site.
“Two weeks ago, I learnt that the new Government House project has been completed and we came as the stakeholders and leaders of the Old Aguata Union made up of the three Local Government Areas of Aguata Orumba North and South to see for ourselves”
“We always pass through the express road at Arroma junction but we did not know that something like this is happening here and that the abandoned Government House since more than thirty years have been completed and set to be occupied by the state government”
“This was done within one year and that is great and Anambra state now have a befitting government house”
“Before now some people were fighting against the project and against Soludo administration before the election”
“We have had cases of people after working as Central Bank Governor they are arrested but Soludo served as CBN governor and did not go to face charges”
“I hear that the Mr President Ahmed Bola Tinubu is coming to Anambra state and I know that he will see this new Government House and the Solution Fun City as well as so many roads and bridges constructed across the state .
“When he arrives he would surely be convicted that our Governor Prof Charles Soludo is indeed working and when he returns back to Abuja he will surely pass the massage that there is no vacancy at the Anambra state Government House” he said.
Also speaking the Commissioner for Works Engr Ifeanyi Okeoma noted that.
“We welcome the leadership of the Old Aguata Union who have come to witness the New Government House and Solution Fun City and the projects are aimed at changing the narrative from the departure lunge to the destination point”
“Mr Governor has graciously put up the Solution Fun City as part of his campaign promises to make Anambra a livable And Prosperous Smart City Homeland”
“Here the facilities that we have as you come are the Country Club and there has not been any Country Club in Anambra state”
“We have car park that can accommodate about 500 vehicles and drivers launch and then at the family fun building you have different kinds of games for the children and restraints and digital museum where you get the history and story of Anambra state”
“We also have two areas where we have the water pool which is the first in West Africa water park and amusement park together”
“We have Olympic size Poll the roller coaster and pun ball arena among others as well as the merry go round” he explained.
Equally the Commissioner for Culture Entertainment and Tourism Mr Don Onyenji noted that;
“Tourism is at the center stage of global community line and this place show cases the world and so we are part and among the league of states around the world and anybody who is a Tourist can talk about and visit here”
“This Solution Fun City is offering lots of things in just one location and we also have the City Stadium here so we have everything in one place”
“We also have five heritage sites being studied by experts for economic stimulus”he said.
