There seem no end to the controversies rocking the Anambra state chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC following the alleged emergence of three parallel lists of delegates for this Saturday’s gubernatorial primary election of the party.
It was gathered that the duo of Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Prof Obiora Okonkwo are battling over the utentic list of delegates for the election and as at early yesterday morning being Friday the only list for the primary election was in favor of Ukachukwu but lait yesterday evening up until this Saturday morning a fresh list of delegates was allegedly thrown up in favor of Prof Obiora Okonkwo.
Meanwhile yet another list is being brandished as the utentic list which favors Chief John Bosco Onunkwo a development that is currently deepening the crisis in the party.
Recall that yesterday one of the leading aspirants to the party ticket Sir Paul Chukwuma dumped the party on account of fake delegate list and it is not clear if Hon Chuma Umeoji is still in the race a development that yet to be confirmed.
Similarly former Labour Party aspirant who is now in the APC has remained silent as he cannot be reached though he is still in the contest.
Worsening this confusion id the fact that members of the Bassey Otu led Primary Election committee have neither been seen or made any categorical statement over the parallel lists.
Also state Chairman of the party Chief Basil Ejidike could not be seen and his whereabout is yet unknown.
At the three different venues for the accreditation of delegates in Awka has been a bee hive of activities as possible delegates are in the dark if their names are in the delegates list.
At the venue of the primary election; Dora Akunyili Women Development Center there is heavy security presence while members of the party are seen hanging around the entrance gate .
