From Mohammed Nasir Shuaibu BAUCHI
The former Special Assistant on Media to the PDP Chairman has resigned his appointment with immediate effect in Bauchi.
According to a statement made available to newsmen, the Media Aide resigned due to non-payment of his monthly allowances for over five months.
The letter read: “I am writing to formally tender my resignation as Special Assistant on Media to the PDP Chairman, Bauchi State, effective immediately.
“I have served in this role since July 3, 2020, and have worked diligently to discharge my responsibilities with dedication and professionalism. However, despite my efforts, I have not received my salary for the past five months, despite numerous follow-ups with the Secretary.
“I have brought this issue to the attention of Chairman Samaila Burga, who expressed surprise and assured me that he would facilitate my payment. Unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved.
“As a result, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my position to avoid unnecessary conflicts over my unpaid entitlements.
“I want to emphasize that my commitment to the PDP remains unwavering. I have served the party in various capacities, including as Editor of PDP-sponsored newspapers and as a media strategist for Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir’s election campaign.
“I extend my sincere gratitude to the party’s leadership, Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, and all those I have worked with over the years. I will continue to support the party and its administration as an independent journalist”,.
Recall that the former Special Assistant served under the former State Chairman of the present administration, and his salary was withheld after the election of the new party chairman for a period of five months.
