A young lady named Maryam tragically took her own life in Panmana, Kaltungo Local Government Area of Gombe State. The heartbreaking incident has left the community in shock, as the reasons behind her actions remain unknown.
However, eyewitnesses have raised suspicions, suggesting that it may not be a case of suicide but rather murder. They pointed out that her body was not found hanging in a typical manner, and from the pictures, her knees appeared to be touching the ground.
Only a thorough investigation by the police and a cross-examination by medical professionals can determine whether this was a suicide or a homicide.
Both Islam and Christianity condemn suicide, emphasizing that life is a sacred gift from God. No situation justifies taking one’s own life.
