Hon. Paschal Agbodike, the member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has expressed optimism that Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra would clinch a second term victory without much challenges from those he identified as pockets of opposition.
Agbodike who spoke to newsmen at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka during a Thanksgiving service to mark Soludo’s third year in office as governor, said Soludo deserves a second term, having transformed all the critical sectors into a smooth running condition.
According to Agbodike, “Soludo has covered all areas of development. Is it education, infrastructures, employments, empowerments, or where? So, nobody is contesting with him. His second term is done and dusted”.
“Ndi Anambra should come together and give him a unianimous endorsement. They have already done that, except some pockets of opposition who are running from pillar to post having a wishful thinking that there is a vacant position in Agu-Awka Government House, come November 8, this year”.
“I am therefore advising the opposition to embrace good thing. This is Anambra state, Light of the Nation and Number one state in Nigeria. Personally, I should say a big congratulations to Ndi Anambra for having a Governor like Soludo. Is there any human endeavour Soludo has not touched?”, Agbodike asked.
“Anambra is one indivisible entity with one individual and one agenda. There is a possibility that Soludo will return unopposed. For instance, the people of Ihiala, my Constituency have already agreed to endorse his second tenure without a dessenting voice, so also many other constituencies, local government and even the rural and urban communities because of his transformation agenda”.
“APGA as a political party stands for: Be your brothers’ keepers and too Soludo being my boss is doing very well in Anambra as the governor, just like I am doing well in Ihiala federal Constituency as their legislator. I thank the governor, his deputy, his state executive council and all those helping him to make things work in the state as I look forward to his overwhelming victory”.
