For Mrs. MaryCynthia Ogechukwu Nnanuelugo, the disappearance of her husband, Hyginus Arinze Nnanuelugo and his vehicle since July 11, 2024, following his abduction by gunmen, has remained a nightmare to her.
She therefore appealed to relevant agencies to assist in tracing her missing husband, Arinze Nnanuelugo Hyginus dead or alive, even as she lamented that his abduction since that July, 2024 had taken a long time.
In an affidavit sworn to at Law Chambers of Sir Ben Chudi Izuegbu Esq., a Notary Public, a copy of which was made available to newsmen, Mrs. Nnanuelugo further recalled that the heavily armed gunmen had at about 8.30 p.m. on July 11, 2024, at Onoja Oboli Street, opposite Modebe Secondary School, Odoakpu, Onitsha, Anambra state, Nigeria, abducted her husband with his Lexus RX 300 Jeep (Gold Colour) with Registration No. FGG 693 HC, adding that ever since then, his whereabout and the vehicle remained unknown.
In the affidavit sworn to on July 16, 2024, Mrs. Nnanuelugo averred that on the fateful day, her husband was driving home to No. 36 Sanniez Street, Odoakpu, Onitsha, Anambra state Nigeria when the abductors operating with a Tricycle, blocked his Lexus Jeep and abducted him together with the vehicle at Onoja Oboli Street and drove off to unknown destruction.
Giving the Engine No. of her missing husband’s Vehicle as 1MZ*4371507 and its Chassis No. as MCU10-0052334 Mrs. Nnanuelugo appealed to security agencies to assist her immensely in tracing the whereabout of her missing husband and possibly his missing vehicle as according to her, his absence has caused a lot of misfortune in their homestead.
Also, Mrs. Nnanuelugo obtained a police extract at Fegge Police Division in Onitsha at about 1.20 p.m. a day after the incident being July 12, 2024 thus confirming that her husband and his vehicle were actually missing till date.
In the police extract, she narrated how the gunmen used their tricycle to double-cross him and allegedly drove him away to an unknown destruction with his vehicle, adding that ever since then, his whereabout is yet to be ascertained.
She also displayed a copy of receipt from Radio Sapientia dated July 23, 2024 where she paid the sum of N35,000 for spot announcements buttressing that her husband and his vehicle were actually abducted and have been mssing ever since the abduction saga.
I am appealing to both the federal and state governments, as well as individuals and human rights bodies to assist me in locating the whereabout of my husband.
