Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has emphasized the significance of unity, tolerance, and mutual respect as key factors in Nigeria’s development.
Mohammed made this known today while receiving the 2023 Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate and former Anambra state governor, Mr. Peter Obi, along with his entourage.
Mohammed stressed that Nigeria requires national cohesion now more than ever, urging leaders and citizens alike to put the country’s interests above personal and political ambitions.
As Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Mohammed reiterated his commitment to fostering unity and fighting against division, adding that patriotism remains the foundation for a brighter future.
Commending Mr. Obi for the visit, Mohammed praised his dedication to nation-building and inclusive leadership.
Speaking earlier, Peter Obi stated that his visit was to condole with Governor Mohammed over recent losses, engage in discussions on national issues, and deepen consultations with key stakeholders.
Among Obi’s entourage were former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Nenadi Usman and top functionaries who were accompanied by Governor Mohammed to pay homage to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji (Dr) Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu at his palace.
