The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Sheikh Saidu Hassan Jingir, a prominent Islamic scholar and the Deputy National Chairman of the Ulama Council of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS). Sheikh Jingir, known for his unwavering dedication to the teachings of Islam, passed away recently, leaving behind a significant legacy of peace, unity, and wisdom.
In a heartfelt statement on his social media handle, Governor Mohammed extended his condolences to the family of the late scholar, the Muslim community, and all those who were influenced by Sheikh Jingir’s guidance. He described the late Sheikh as a man whose wisdom had inspired countless individuals and whose absence would be profoundly felt across the nation.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sheikh Saidu Hassan Jingir, a revered Islamic scholar and leader. The Deputy National Chairman of the Ulama Council of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), among other things, was unwaveringly dedicated to the teachings of Islam and committed to peace and unity. His wisdom and guidance have been a source of inspiration for many, and his absence will be profoundly felt,” said Governor Mohammed.
The Governor also prayed for Sheikh Jingir’s soul to find eternal peace and for his family and the wider Muslim community to find comfort during this difficult time. “My heartfelt condolences to his family, the Muslim community, and all who were impacted by his teachings. May Allah grant him eternal rest and comfort those who mourn his loss,” he added.
Sheikh Saidu Hassan Jingir was widely respected for his deep knowledge of Islamic teachings and his role as a leader in the Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), an organization dedicated to promoting the true practices of Islam. His contributions to religious scholarship and his efforts to foster peace and unity within the Muslim community were commendable.
