The COYOBAS Group has officially thrown its weight behind the political aspirations of Governor Bala Mohammed for President in 2027 and Dr. Yakubu Adamu for Governor of Bauchi State in the same election cycle. The announcement of the branding project was made as part of the group’s launch of a solidarity movement, with the symbolic branding of 150 Keke Napeps (tricycles) in support of the two political figures in Bauchi and promised to extend to other part of the state and country.
Speaking at the event, the leader of COYOBAS Group emphasized the commitment to ensuring the success of their endorsed candidates, noting that the branding initiative was only the beginning of a larger, statewide, and even national campaign. “We are ready to go further,” the leader declared. “We plan to brand more Keke Napeps across Bauchi State and beyond, to send a powerful message to the electorate and galvanize support for Governor Bala Mohammed’s presidential ambition and Dr. Yakubu Adamu’s governorship bid.”
The solidarity movement is a clear indication of the group’s firm belief in the leadership capabilities of both candidates. COYOBAS members are keen to demonstrate their support by utilizing the popular mode of transportation in local communities as a visible means of reaching a wide audience.
The first phase of the branding efforts was launched with the branding of 150 Keke Napeps, emblazoned with the images and slogans of both Bala Mohammed and Dr. Yakubu Adamu. The group intends to further amplify this effort as the 2027 elections draw nearer, aiming to engage voters across all regions with a focused, grassroots-driven campaign.
In his remarks, Secretary of Yakubun Bauchi Ambassadors Forum Daure David, who are one of the frontier support group for the candidature of Dr Yakubu for governorship seat of Bauchi State 2027, expressed gratitude to the COYOBAS Group for their unflinching support. He assured the group and the people of Bauchi State of their commitment to bringing transformative leadership and improving the socio-economic welfare of the state through electing Dr Yakubu a young man with capacity, loyalty, respect and experience . However, the secretary also conveyed his appreciation on behalf Governor Bala Mohammed to COYOBA for their support and solidarity, stating that the endorsement served as an inspiration to continue working towards a better Nigeria.
The branding initiative is expected to serve as a key part of the political strategy for both candidates, fostering greater visibility and engagement with the electorate as they prepare for the 2027 elections.
