Bauchi Police Crack Down: Four Suspects Apprehended in Kidnapping and Murder Case

The Bauchi State Police Command has announced the arrest of four suspects in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 6-year-old boy, Shuaibu Safiyanu, in Sade village, Darazo Local Government Area.

In a press release by the Command CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil said the suspects, identified as Rabi’u Muhammadu, Samson Ozoichikel, Muhammad Sani (alias Jingi), and Musa Usman (alias Kala), are currently in custody.

According to the police report, Shuaibu’s father, Safiyanu Abdullahi, received a ransom demand of ₦3,000,000, which was later reduced to ₦200,000.

The police were able to track down the suspects through a POS site nearby, where they arrested Rabi’u Muhammadu, who had the phone number and account number used to make the ransom demands.

Sadly, the body of Shuaibu Safiyanu was discovered in a nearby bush, and the case is currently being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).

The police are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station or through the emergency numbers: 112 or 08156814656.
