Bauchi State Government has said that all is set to recruit three thousand teachers to feel the gap of vacuum created as a result of retirement of existing staff into the teaching scheme in the State.
The disclosure was made by the honorable commissioner of education, Dr Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayan when he received a delegation of the Executive Directors of Civil Society Organizations (EDs Forum) at the Ministry, Wednesday in Bauchi.
He said the ministry had received approval from His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for recruitment of three thousand teachers in both basic and post primary and secondary schools across all the 20 local government area councils in the State.
Ably represented by Permanent Secretary, Alh Ali Babayo Gamawa said the ministry will soon commenced on the process after concluding all the necessary plan with a view to ensure free, fair, and transparent to all applicants in respective of tribe, religion and political affiliation.
He inform the Forum that process will also consider hard to reach areas in the three senatorial district to avoid unnecessary excuses after recruitment of transfer and absenteeism of teachers at their primary place assessment.
The commissioner, assured them that the ministry is always welcome good initiative towards improving the education sector in the state and ready to work with EDs Forum as partners.
Earlier, the leader of the Executive Directors delegation, Mrs Lydia J Shehu Gar said that they were at the Ministry to introduce and farmiliraze themselves in the ministry, as well as to solicit for partnership to improve the standard of education and increase girl’s enrollment in the State.
She noted more than 99 percent of the organisations have education sector as one of their thematic area or working in education sectors in the state.
