Sunday Nwangele has been declared the new National President of the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) Alumni Association after a successful election held in Abakaliki. The election, conducted by the 2024 National Electoral Committee Chairman, Nwankwo Chukwuma Theophilus, saw all candidates running unopposed.

Briefing newsmen, Nwangele, the outgoing National Secretary, pledged on fostering unity and continuity of the Association, stating, “I want to stand on the achievements they have made and ensure that my co executives and I take the association to greater heights.”

He assured the alumni that the new administration would focus on launching more projects and maintaining harmony within the executive. “There will be peace among the executives. Unity is key because there may be individuals pursuing personal interests within the executive, but if they can work together as a team, they will succeed. By God’s grace, we have selected capable leaders who can collaborate effectively.”

Dr. Ereke also reflected on his administration’s key achievements, including the construction of a medical center and the renovation of the EBSU Alumni Hall. However, he acknowledged challenges such as financial constraints and a lack of cooperation among some members.
