Soludo Gives Anambra Council Chairmen/ Deputies One Week To Declare Assets

Gov Charles Soludo of Anambra state has given the newly elected local government Chairmen and their Deputies one week to declare their assets .

Soludo who made this directive during the swearing In ceremony of the Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen at the government house Awka on Thursday noted that it is in line with the law noting that before he was sworn in as governor he did a similar thing.

“I believe by now you all must have declared your assets because this is a first line charge for public office holders and before I became governor I also declared my assets”

“If you have not done that , go and do it within one week because you have offered to serve the public and you have been elected as Chairman and Deputy Chairmen and it is inline with the law to declare your assets ”

Soludo noted that both the state and local governments have to work harmoniesly to the development of the state because it is in the interest of the masses.

“You are elected Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen and we in the state government have to work harmoniesly with one another to the growth and development of Anambra state”

“With you positions at the local government level I say to you welcome to Project Anambra and you must hit the ground running ”

“From that day that I was sworn in as governor of Anambra state I started working, I had security council meeting and I worked up to 9 pm before I left and the following day I went to Okpoko in Ogbaru local government area ”

“The elections are over the election has been won and it time to get down to work because a lot is expected of you all ” he said.
