… says, party remains only brand, surviving in Nigeria

The Ag National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagun said the party remains the brand and only surviving party since 1998 in Nigeria.
Damagun acknowledged that the party has tested so many turbalances and have come out of it, challenges and came out of it strong and today we’re reorganising ourselves, uniting ourselves to make sure comes 2027 we get what rightly belong to us.
The Ag PDP Chairman was
speaking when he led some party’s bigwig from the Northeast for an informal and solidarity visit to the chairman PDP Governor’s Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed at Government House, Friday in Bauchi.
He explained that the visit together with chairmen of PDP from Northeast here and the visit is not out of the ordinary even though the Zonal committee where not here but they’re the general in their States, they came here also to support me to reiterate their commitment, the north east where they came from is one and also they believed in the leadership of the Governor’s Forum Chairman.
“we’re here today on an informal visit to our brother and friend to discuss issues as regards to our party nationwide to also reiterate our commitment and unwavering support that he has given to this party right from inception when he became the governor.
“We’ve came for a friendship visit, as committed brother me and him came long way and that the governor has been very supportive to reiterate for my running this party so that sort things out and he has always given me his commitment to continue to do so we should have a one united party.
In his response, the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed thanked the Ag PDP Chairman and his team for the solidarity visit to the State. Saying “they are always supporting me and I will not take that for granted.
Mohammed said the north east is the landscape of modern politiking in northern Nigeria, therefore, people would not surprise as you do that.” Yes, l agreed that we may have problems, we may political hikcup but stanly we may have ways of coming back. So, but our problems and challenges we making sure that we’ve common understanding.
The chairman PDP Governors Forum used the medium to appreciated on the party’s progress been mentioned by the Ag chairman, Damagun concerning suspensions, legal issues among others, “said as a leader I’m highly previlage to get this as first hand information because it will determine our actions and our collaborations”,.
But according to the most important thing today is the outing that Northeast is one, we’re together and we’re unified with those who are not here with us, “as l promised to the Ag chairman for this show of solidarity and respect, l’ll consult with my colleagues the governors on the nest line of action we would take, because this is a very good outing which the National Chairman take it to me which I’m very happy today. And at the end of the day all these issues that we’ve challenges we would come together and do it in the manner that’s not about our personal interests, it’s about our personal and that of any stakeholders in Nigeria.
“God in need has given me and my brother the leadership of this party and that I beat him on my knees that we should be able to came together and resolves all these contendent issues and we’ve agreed in presence of all stakeholders that we’re going to do that so that we’ll return the glory of this party”,. The Governors Forum Chairman concluded.
