Gunmen Set Rivers LGA Secretariat On Fire, Gunshots, No Police Presence [Video]

Information reaching 247ureports.com indicates that gunmen believed to be loyal to the former governor of Rivers State and current Minister FCT, Nyesom Wike has begun to raise mayhem across Rivers State.

In the early morning hours of October 7 barely 24hours following the swearing-in of the new chairmen of the various LGA, eyewitnesses indicated witnessing hoodlums throwing fire bombs into several LGA secretariats. Particularly, the gunmen were observed shooting and throwing firebombs at the Ikwerre local government council secretariat. This is as chief of staff to Hon Samuel Nwanosike, Barr. Okachi Ordu was attacked by same gunmen.

As the attack was in heat, Barr. Order raised alarm over sporadic shooting at the council secretariat, Isiokpo.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Pro – Wike Supporters camp at Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Secretariat have prevented pro – Gov. Sim Fubara Council Chairman from gaining entrance to the offices. Also, youths in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area were preventing Pro-Gov. Sim Fubara Council Chairmen from gaining access into the Secretariat.
