Gov Fubara Swears in Newly Elected Council Chairmen in Rivers State

Port Harcourt, October 6, 2024 — The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, is set to swear in the newly elected Council Chairmen today at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House, Port Harcourt. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm, as announced by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.

In an official statement signed by Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, Secretary to the State Government, all newly elected Council Chairmen are to be present with one guest each and are expected to be seated by 3:30 pm.

Hon. Nwafor is currently seated alongside other chairmen-elect as RSIEC prepares to issue them their certificates of return in a few minutes.

The swearing-in of the Council Chairmen follows the recent conclusion of local government elections across Rivers State.
