The former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has suffered another political defeat.

The protests consisted of members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to Nyesom Wike who were seeking cancellation of election exercise. They were limited in number. Counter protests were recorded comprising of supporters of the State government seeking for the electoral exercise to continue. They comprised of many market women.
