Major Cabinet Reshuffle Looms In Anambra As Information Commissioner Is Sacked

A major Cabinet reshuffle is looming in Anambra state which may likely affect six Commissioners and eight Special Assistants and Advisers .

Already the Commissioner for Information Sir Paul Nwosu has been sacked by Gov Charles Soludo though reasons for his removal is yet to be made public.

Meanwhile a new Commissioner for Information is said to have been appointed and is currently being screened by the Anambra state House of Assembly.

When contacted the Press Secretary to Soludo Mr Christian Aburime could not name the new Commissioner and couldn’t explain why Sir Paul Nwosu was removed.

Recall that the Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service ABS Sir Chido Obidiegwu was recently relieved of his appointment though the Press Secretary Aburime said he was redeployed but no portfolio has been assigned to .

Inside sources have it that Gov Charles Soludo is not comfortable with the performances of the six Commissioners and eight Special Assistants and Advisers hence the burning decision to remove them .

A Cabinet member told this reporter that “The Governor wants results and not semantics and most of them could not retire appropriations to their offices are and no results of good performance ”

He further said that some members would be sacked outright while some would be redeployed to other positions.

The source however failed to disclose the names of the affected Executive Council members noting that before the end of September the governor may make the official pronouncement on the reshuffle.
