LG Election Ward Tour: APGA Urges Akwu-Ukwu, Oba Communities to Vote for Continuity

As Anambra State prepare to go to the polls coming Saturday, September 28, 2024, the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA party has urged residents of Akwuukwu, Oba communities to vote Hon Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Ife-Abata) and other APGA candidates saying that continuation of APGA led administration ensures more dividends of democracy and development at the grassroots level.

The Idemili South Local Government APGA political party campaign train stormed Akwu-Ukwu and Oba in continuation of ward/community campaign tour for the forthcoming LG polls.

At Akwa-Ukwu, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Don Onyenji eulogized the achievements of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo which include road construction/rehabilitation, construction of over five general hospitals, youths empowerment, free education, free antenatal and free delivery.

Onyenji who described Mrs Amaka Obi as pacesetter stressed that Mrs Obi consolidated on the effort of Mr. Governor at grassroot when as a Transition Committee Chairman urging residents of the community to come out enmass and vote for APGA candidates for continuity of dividends of democracy.

The campaign team also storm Oba where they were welcomed by President General of Oba, Chief Uzo Ejiofor and other stakeholders.

The APGA State Assistant Treasurer, Hon. Uche Maduekwe(Igwe), said that Oba have votes more than other communities in the council area but they always split it and urged them to put all their eggs in one basket which is APGA, so that they will benefit more from the government.

While speaking at both communities, the Idemili South Chairmanship candidate of APGA, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi, appreciated the two communities for coming out in numbers to receive campaign team and promised greater commitment to the growth and development of Idemili South.

She also applauded them for their support when she was Caretaker Chairman and appealed for more support like *Oliver Twist* in order to make the council area the envy for all and attract more development.

In their separate remarks, member representing Idemili South in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebuka Igwe, Idemili South APGA Chairman, Chief Kizito Anoliefo, Chief Sir Geoffrey Obaaobi and (Gobinson Motors), said, APGA is a movement and appealed to them to take the message to their different homes and make sure that their families and neighbors vote for APGA come 28th September, 2024.

Highlight of the campaign was presentation of free caps by Oba ward 1 stakeholder, Nze Tony Nwoye to Hon. Amaka Obi in support of her campaign.

Vote of thanks was given by former speaker in Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emeka Anyaenetu who appreciated them for their efforts towards the development of Idemili South and prayed for journey mercy upon all.

The event was attended by Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Don Onyenji, former Speaker of State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Anyaenetu, Onowu of Oba Chief Sir B. C. Onyeka(Okom Oba), APGA State Assistant Treasurer, Hon. Uche Maduekwe(Igwe), Hon. Ebuka Nriama, APGA Deputy Chairman candidate, Hon. Ifeanyi Anakuba.

Others were member representing Idemili South in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebuka Igwe, Idemili South APGA Youth leader, Hon. Augustine Ejibendu, Oba President General, Chief Uzo Ejiofor, Nze Sunday Obinwa, former PG, Mr. Osita Ubadi, Coded, Hon. Celestine Unigwe, President General of Akwu-Ukwu, Sir Udoka Ejiakor, local government and ward executives, women leaders, youth leaders, Soludo Support groups and many others.
