August Protest: Politicians Flee As Nigeria Police Withdraws Armed Personnel For National Assignment

Political office holders in Nigeria have reportedly traveled to oversea following the notice of temporary withdrawal of Personnel for national assignment.


This came as a result of the proposed National protest, slated to hold tomorrow, August 1st.

Recall that the hashtagged hunger protest have created serious tension in the whole nation, while unknown gunmen have allegedly killed over 15 Police officers in the South East on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

A memo signed by CSP Moses E of No 2 squadron of Nigeria Mobile Force, keffi obtained by impartial observers on Wednesday dated 25 July, 2025 read partly!

“To whom it may concern, notification of temporary withdrawal of Personnel for national assignment.

Above subject refers, in view of the planned national protest, it becomes imperative to temporary withdrawal some of the Personnel attached to you in order to muster sufficient officers to dominate the public place.”

The memo revealed that the decision is to enhance operational capacity of the men of police force in respect to the protest.
