The 48th birthday celebration of Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, Member Representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman Committee on Reformatory Institutions, was marked with top dignitaries, lawmakers, and others showering eulogies on his humanitarian achievements for his constituency.
His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, praised Hon. Ogah as a dedicated young legislator whose passion for his work and bridge-building capabilities have contributed immensely to the growth and development of his constituency. The governor, represented by Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, expressed satisfaction with the notable achievements of Hon. Ogah in ensuring the delivery of democracy’s dividends to the people of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency.
The birthday event, which took place on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, in Item Amagu Ikwo, was graced by the presence of several distinguished personalities, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, represented by Hon. Olusola Fatoba of Ado Ekiti/Irepodun-Ifelodun Federal Constituency, and the Minister of Works, Sen. Engr. David Umahi, represented by Chief Clement Alobu Nweke.
Highlights of the celebration included the empowerment of constituents with various items such as deep freezers, standby generators, grinding machines, motorcycles, and sewing machines, among others. In addition, several constituency projects were commissioned across various locations, reflecting Hon. Ogah’s commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.
A foundation-laying ceremony was also held for the construction of the Mgbabu Enyi Cultural Center, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru General Hospital affiliated with the National Vascular Center in Abakaliki, and the Nigerian Police Area Command office at Nidegu Amagu. These projects are aimed at bolstering the state’s infrastructure and quality of life.
Hon. Ogah emphasized that the development initiatives are intended to complement the efforts of the Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Blder. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and his People’s Charter of Needs mandate.
The event was well-attended by members of the National and State Assemblies, National and State Working Committee of the APC, National and State Executive Committee members, captains of industries, and other esteemed guests, showcasing the widespread support for Hon. Ogah’s contributions to his constituency and the nation at large.
